Part of the beauty of the condos in Hillside Place is that the interior architecture provides unique possibilities for the resident to decorate within an historical environment. These pictures show the creativity of a few residents in their magnificent surroundings.

We hope that these pictures along with the information below will entice you or someone that you know to consider joining us at Hillside Place:

There are a total of thirty units.
* Each unit is different in design and size. The number of bedrooms ranges from one to three. The size of the units range from 755 sq.ft. to 2,061 sq. ft.;
* There are four floors in both the main building and annex, with the two middle floors of each connected by interior walkways (bridge);
* An elevator in the main building connects all four floors;
* All units and interior common elements are fully equipped with fire sprinkler system, and a fire hydrant is between the main building and the east parking area;
* There are four entry doors to the main building and one entry door to the annex;
* Three units in the main building have direct entry doors from the outside;
* The building is constructed of brick with brownstone overlay around the base. As a consequence, many of the walls are quite thick. Also, many of the ceilings are quite high, and many nine-foot doors;
* Most, if not all, units have retained original elements from when the building was the State Normal School, for example, gorgeous wood and mouldings.  And some have retained elements from when it was the New Britain Board of Education and School Administration, for example, one unit door is painted with the sign:
                           Private
                  Board of Education
                             and
                  School Superintendent
* Many have had recent upgrades and improvements;
* Each unit has its own AC and heat furnace.
* From nearby churches, we (especially those on the east side) hear Westminster Quarter, hourly bells (but not before 7AM or after 10PM), and carillon music.
